To enable Queenstownians to become more proficient in English, iIthink that the school teachers should compile a comprehensive list of commomly misspelled words and give it to the students. Doing so would allow students to be able to know the wrong words they have been spelling and enable them to learn the correct words once and for all. Next,to make sure that students know their mistakes, detailed error analysis should be done for each and every student.
In addition, essay wrting is one of the ways to make Queenstownians better users of english . Therefore, I feel that essay writing should be made compulsory once every two weeks. For example, essay topics only regarding expository writing can be given and the next time round, topics involving narrative essays. As such, all students will be able to experience writing different kinds of essays. Furthermore, students can keep a phrase book to note down the difficult words that they see and also the meaning of those words. This would enable Queenstownians to have a wider range of vocabulary , resulting in improved English. Lastly, teachers should ensure students read at least one book every two weeks because reading is one of the most important ways to improve the standard of english among Queenstownians.
