How can we make Queenstownians better users of English?

To make the students better users of English, they would first have to be interested in the English language itself. Without interest or motivation, the students would not be able to fully understand what they have been taught about the English language. They can be given worksheets to do or magazines to read, which will be used by the teacher as a teaching material to go through certain topics or words. They can also be used in activities, in which students can discuss on certain topics and attempt to use their knowledge of English to say out their views. Also, the students should be exposed to the common mistakes that are made by many, including the misspelling of certain words and grammar errors. They should also learn to speak proper English instead of adding words of other languages and jumble them all up into one sentence. They can be assissted in doing so by having teachers speak proper English, more so for the English teachers as they are seen as the 'ambassadors' of the English language. When this few elements are present, it will be easier to teach the students and have them understand the English language.
